Southbound Taxi Service
The Southbound Taxi Service is located in Oro-Medonte which is a beautiful Central Ontario location between Barrie and Orillia. While we are located north of the GTA, the bulk of our customers come from the Toronto area. We offer drive-away services for cars, trucks, buses and RV's throughout Canada as well as to and from the United States provided that the starting or ending point is in or near Ontario Canada.
We also have special transportation options available to Central Ontario residents.
Mode of Transport
The vehicle must be road-worthy, adequately insured and be plated (temporary tags are okay).
Deliveries between Ontario and Florida are done within 2-3 days with the average time being 48 - 56 hours after pickup. Vehicle delivery between Ontario and California is usually done within 4 days but may take up to 5 depending on weather conditions and on what time of day the vehicle is picked up.
We are not yet able to offer vehicle delivery in any way other than by drive-away.
Customs
We are officially registered with US Customs, as a commercial carrier for the purposes of driving our customer's vehicles across the US border. We provide all the physical paperwork necessary and also electronically submit a manifest to US customs on your behalf, with no brokers fees charged to you.
Special Services - Ride Along In Your Vehicle
The Southbound Taxi Service is provided by a company called Life's a Trip. Life's a Trip offers a chaperone service by which we are able to accompany people in their own vehicles, to and from locations within North America. In this way, people who enjoy the ride to or from Florida or Arizona but no longer wish to drive themselves, are still able to travel along in their own vehicle.
Our Drivers
We have a small group of experienced, reliable and respectful drivers who will deliver your vehicle to any North American location, or will return your vehicle to Ontario, western Quebec or Eastern Manitoba.
We don't put strangers in our customer's vehicles, all of our drivers are people who drive exclusively for us and are trustworthy, reliable, considerate and respectful. The majority of our drivers have commercial vehicle licenses as well as professional driving experience. We have drivers who are licensed to drive every class of vehicle on the road.
We deliver cars, trucks, RV's and truck and trailer combinations, to and from many North American locations. We can offer our service for deliveries across Canada, from Victoria BC, to Toronto Ontario, to the Maritime Provinces, and to all places in between. We also make deliveries to any city or county in the continental United States, from Miami to Los Angeles, provided the vehicle will be coming from or going to Canada. At this time, we cannot offer our service from point to point in the US, only from any point in the US, to or from Canada.
Unlike other companies, we don't allow "strangers" to deliver your vehicle. We utilize people whom we know to be responsible, mature and respectful, and who have a sufficient amount of driving experience.
Because we use company people to drive your vehicle, instead of vacationers, you are welcome to utilize all the space you need in your vehicle. All we ask is that you leave enough room for our driver to store a couple of travel bags.
Despite the superior quality of our service and the added value that we offer our customers, our prices remain highly competitive with other delivery services - in fact, our prices are most often lower than other service providers.
